Sacred Journey Recovery supports men from Coronado, California, who are ready to break free from addiction and rebuild their lives with purpose. Many men living throughout Coronado and nearby coastal San Diego communities eventually reach a point where substance use begins to affect their health, relationships, and long-term direction. Our men’s rehab program provides a steady and structured environment where clients can restore physical wellness, strengthen emotional balance, and develop intentional decision-making habits. Rather than relying on a detox-first or talk-only model, Sacred Journey Recovery uses an action-oriented approach that integrates experiential therapy, strong male peer support, and practical life-skills development. This approach resonates with men who benefit from structure, accountability, motivation, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Our clinical programs include a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and flexible outpatient treatment options designed to work alongside professional, academic, and family commitments. Evidence-based treatment is combined with experiential learning and hands-on skill development to create a program that feels active, engaging, and directly relevant to everyday life.
Sacred Journey Recovery works with men from all parts of Coronado, from the historic Village and waterfront areas along Orange Avenue to Coronado Cays, the Naval Base Coronado area, the Shores, and the neighborhoods around Glorietta Bay. We also welcome men from nearby communities like Imperial Beach, Point Loma, and Downtown San Diego, as well as others across Southern California.
Our program is based in Vista, California, where men can get outside their usual surroundings and focus fully on building discipline, stability, and long-term recovery.

Sacred Journey Recovery provides multiple levels of Men’s Rehab Treatment for those who need structure, guidance, and therapeutic support. Each program is designed for men who want stability without stepping away from their responsibilities at home.
Our IOP includes several weekly therapy sessions, available both in the morning and the evening, making it possible for men to continue meeting work deadlines, school commitments, and family needs. IOP works well for men stepping down from PHP or for those needing consistent clinical involvement without attending a full-day program.
PHP offers a full daytime schedule that includes one-on-one therapy, skills-based group work, and experiential therapeutic sessions. Men who benefit from daily accountability, emotional stabilization, and highly structured routines, especially after detox or residential treatment, often find PHP ideal. This level of care helps men build steady habits, strengthen emotional consistency, and maintain meaningful forward progress in a supportive setting.
Outpatient and aftercare services help men transition from intensive treatment to real-world routines. These services may include ongoing therapy, relapse-prevention groups, community support, alumni engagement, and continued life-skills development.
If a man requires medical detoxification or a brief residential stay before beginning PHP or IOP, our admissions team helps coordinate placement with reputable local partners. When stabilization is complete, we ensure a smooth transition into the appropriate level of care at Sacred Journey
The surrounding area is known for its atmosphere, with accessible hiking and access to refreshing open-air spaces. These surroundings create an ideal foundation for men’s addiction treatment and long-term personal growth.

Our location offers a unique mix of urban and outdoor environments that foster emotional reset and internal balance. Men benefit from these serene outdoor spaces, which help reduce stress, improve mental clarity, and foster steady progress.
Sacred Journey Recovery blends evidence-based treatment with outdoor challenges, experiential sessions, and hands-on skills training designed to keep men mentally and physically engaged. Our leadership team includes individuals with lived recovery experience, including men who have completed detox and overcome opioid addiction, ensuring our approach is grounded in authenticity and real-world understanding.
Sacred Journey incorporates outdoor experiences, group-based challenges, and experiential interventions that build resilience, confidence, and emotional awareness. Coronado’s coastal trail network, bayside parks, and nearby open-space areas along Silver Strand create ideal environments for guided hikes, mindfulness walks, team-based challenges, and structured outdoor therapeutic exercises. These activities are led by clinicians trained in experiential therapy techniques.
Hands-on therapeutic sessions reinforce critical recovery skills, including emotional regulation, communication under pressure, frustration tolerance, grounded decision-making, and consistent follow-through. Men learn to maintain composure during difficult moments, work productively with peers, and approach challenges with clarity, skills that are essential for sustainable long-term recovery.
We support men facing a wide range of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges.
We treat a wide range of substance use and mental health conditions that affect men every day. If anyone needs a higher level of psychiatric care, we step in and help them find the right spot for that kind of support.
Sacred Journey Recovery is designed for men who want a structured, honest, and action-oriented path to change.
We Routinely Help Men Who:
Local men from the area share groups and activities, which often leads to a mix of perspectives and support that feels honest and grounded.
Treatment at Sacred Journey Recovery is active, intentional, and grounded in real-world challenges, with days that include individual therapy, group sessions, experiential activities, practical skills training, and structured accountability. Men do more than discuss their struggles, they practice coping strategies, build emotional resilience, strengthen confidence, and learn to manage triggers in real time, creating momentum and reconnecting with a healthier, grounded sense of identity. By addressing the mental, emotional, and physical aspects of recovery while fostering a strong community of male peers, Sacred Journey Recovery helps men achieve long-term stability, sobriety, and purpose.
