Indoor Skydiving

Mindfulness comes in many forms. Some find it by sitting, some find it in fluid motion without thought. Achieving states of “no-mind” or “flow” is often difficult. These difficulties are exacerbated by limiting belief systems from the past. Inner exploration often happens while our focus is elsewhere, where we realize what has happened only in hindsight. The indoor skydiving experience is a chance to break out of these belief systems. When the body is overwhelmed with sensation, the mind has no choice but to let go and focus. Small actions are met with immediate feedback, giving an opportunity to practice constructive action from a new place. This somatically learned experience is then transferred out of the wind tunnel through education and used as a tool to provide a framework of what it feels to act from the present moment instead of from limiting beliefs.
